SEMINAR HOUSE SHANTI

The Seminar House Shanti as part of the Yoga Vidya Ashram in Bad Meinberg is a hidden treasure idyllically located at the edge of the Teutoburger Forest of northern Germany and surrounded by the stunning botanical park “Silvatikum”

It is Europe’s largest seminar house, offering over 1.400 programs each year, as well as a variety of recreational facilities, such as sauna, gym, ayurvedic center, meditation rooms and much more.

Accommodation

Whether you're looking for a cozy room or a campsite close to nature - you'll find the right accommodation. . You can stay in a Single, Double or Shared Room (4pp) and for the camping enthusiasts, there is a designated campsite within the complex where attendees can set up their own tents free of charge. *Showers are available in the building. You can also arrive with your camper as the venue has its own motorhome harbor for this purpose.

Food

Here food is an experience of a different kind – light and pure – with 100% of the ingredients coming from controlled organic cultivation. In Germany's largest organic-certified kitchen, the organic-vegan meals are freshly prepared with love and care for your health. There is a large buffet room and nine dining rooms where you can sit and have your meal in the company of others or withdraw in the silent dining room and enjoy your food in silence. For fresh air lovers, there is an outdoor terrace where you can enjoy nature when the weather is good.

Arriving by car

The Yoga Vidya seminar house is idyllically located on the edge of the old spa town of Bad Meinberg. The location is quiet, but also central. It is easily accessible by train or car. Larger cities in the area are Paderborn (27 km away), Bielefeld (35 km) and Hannover (100 km).

Arriving by train

Take the train to the Horn-Bad Meinberg station, which is about 5 km away from the Yoga Vidya.

Arriving by plane

There are flights to Paderborn on low-cost airlines from Frankfurt, Munich, Stuttgart, Nuremberg, Berlin, London, Madrid, Rome and other airports. The flight times can be found at https://www.airport-pad.com/en/.

From Paderborn airport, take the bus to Paderborn train station. Take the train to Horn-Bad Meinberg station.

Taxi pick up from the airport is possible for an estimated € 75-100 (call 05234/9555). Please, also check the airport’s website.
